What is a Pop-up Chorus?  A pop-up chorus is a fun, all-inclusive singing experience open to everyone...no auditions, no experience, and no long-term commitment required!  With the Mount Baker Toppers Pop-Up Community Chorus, you’ll join a group of friendly people to learn a few songs over several relaxed rehearsals. After that, we bring the joy of music to the community with a public performance.  It’s all about having fun, meeting new people, and experiencing the magic of singing together whether you’re a seasoned singer or just curious to give it a try. Come as you are, and be part of something joyful!
 

~ Pop-Up REHEARSALS ~

When: Every Tuesday from May 12-June 16 (6 weeks)

Where: Fairhaven Library Auditorium

Rehearsal time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

~ Pop-Up PERFORMANCE ~

When: Saturday June 20, 2025

Where: Fairhaven Village Green

Performance call time (when to arrive): 5:15 pm for a sound check

Show Time: 6:00 pm

What to wear: Toppers Pop-Up Chorus Shirt [Provide your shirt size at the welcome desk] and comfortable pants/shoes

Non-Profit - Community Driven

The Toppers are a non-profit chapter of the International Barbershop Harmony Society with a mission of connecting people through music through frequent public sing outs, supporting music programs in Whatcom Co. schools, and hold open and public rehearsals every Tuesday.

Like to Sing? We Want You!

Our goal is to grow to 100 people or more singing on the risers! What a sound that will be! We perform a variety of musical genres including pop, doo-wop, gospel, and barbershop. Forget Netflix for a couple hours and come try singing with the Toppers on Tuesdays!

Guiding Principles

The Toppers strive to build a culture of family based around Music, Love, Respect, and Teamwork. All interested candidates for membership should look to strive for excellence in singing and performance, have the desire to learn and improve, have discipline and the willingness to prepare outside of rehearsals, can hold pitch, eager to constantly improve, and are a person of good character.
