Big Wheel — Barbershop Without Borders
For decades, singers from across the Pacific Northwest have crossed the border to share the joy of singing together. What was once simple and familiar now carries more hesitation than it used to, and many of our Canadian friends are understandably choosing not to cross into the U.S. at this moment. We see that. We respect it.
At the same time, the Toppers believe deeply in the power of Connecting People Through Music.
In a world that too often groups us by lines on a map or labels that divide, barbershop singing reminds us of something more human: voices blending, friendships deepening, and joy multiplied. What connects us is stronger than what separates us.
The Toppers are proud to present Big Wheel: Barbershop Without Borders, an event designed to remove the stress of crossing borders while affirming the bonds that have always united our singing community.
For more than 100 years, Peace Arch Park has stood as a rare and powerful place—one where borders soften and peace is celebrated. It is home to the world’s first monument dedicated to lasting peace between two nations. There could be no better place to raise our voices together.
This event is not about politics. It’s about friendship. It’s about harmony—in every sense of the word. And it’s about choosing connection, even when the world makes it harder.
We invite you to stand with us, sing with us, and be part of a reminder that music knows no borders.
